![]() Levine Hall is a brick structure built in the Colonial Revival style and is the oldest college classroom building still standing. These structures are the oldest surviving architectural links with the nineteenth century beginnings of the college. Western Maryland College Historic District is situated on the campus and includes six of the college's earliest surviving buildings and structures: Alumni Hall, Carroll Hall, Levine Hall, The President's House, Little Baker Chapel, and the Ward Memorial Arch. The college was known as Western Maryland College until 2002, when it was renamed McDaniel College in honor of an alumnus who gave a lifetime of service to the college.
